In order to respond to the global need for adequate pharmaceutical quality assurance, the WHO Expert Committee on Requirements for Pharmaceutical Preparations has made multiple recommendations over the years to set standards and guidelines and to encourage the effective functioning of national regulatory and control systems and the implementation by qualified people of internationally accepted standards This volume reproduces many of the related documents endorsed by the Committee, including guidelines on all aspects of good manufacturing practices ( GMP). Relevant inspection texts are included, too. Most of the content was released separately in the Reports of the Expert Committee. This compendium puts it together to make it more available to those employed in pharmacy faculties, regulation, and control of drugs, and in the pharmaceutical industry, and of greater practical value.
