The Fault in Our Stars is a novel that tells the story of Hazel Grace Lancaster, a 16-year-old girl who has had three years of cancer, and Augustus 'Gus' Waters, a 17-year-old boy now in remission, who once had a tumor in his leg. The two hopelessly fall in love, despite knowing their story will only end in heartbreak.
In three years after being diagnosed with cancer when she was thirteen, Hazel Grace Lancaster has not experienced the 'awkwardness' that is teenage life. Forced by her mother, Hazel Grace reluctantly goes to meet with others in a cancer support group who supposedly understand what she is going through.
This bland and truly miserable support group is where she meets the charming, charismatic, and unremarkably beautiful Augustus 'Gus' Waters, an amputee whose Hazel interests optimism towards life. Gus becomes immediately attracted to Hazel, and although the feeling is mutual, Hazel knows from the outset that their love is doomed.
Gus still charms Hazel though. He transforms her world by bringing it, as she says: 'Forever within days' and changing her approach to life.

Their 'little infinity' reminds you that even the most heart-wrenching story of love can be poetic, intelligent, humorous, and full of positivity, even if you know that there is no chance that a 'fairy-tale' will end.
John Green (also the author of 'Looking For Alaska' bestsellers, 'An Abundance of Katherines' and 'Will Grayson, Will Grayson') breaks your heart in the best possible way and makes you cry, laugh and smile all over. Although he writes in an upbeat and light-hearted manner, you can still feel the annoyance of Hazel at life that is endearing, as though Hazel Grace is forced to mature for her age, you can still see that she is just a grumpy, moody teen.
Hazel and Gus have already captivated millions of hearts with their inspiring and engaging tale with a film set to be released in June. Although the film has cheapened a lot of books, you can feel just by the trailer that this film will live up to its expectations.
Shailene Woodley, an award-winning actor, and newcomer Ansel Elgort will be starring as the teenage love-sick. I hope they can be frank and realistic in presenting the characters.
Some of those books you can't resist reading is the mistake in Our Stars, but you never want it to finish. It is warm, light-hearted and deals in such an understated and subtle manner with a sensitive subject like cancer. You believe it's just one of the many issues in life and while it's a really serious matter, Hazel and Gus show you that you can't let a cancer-like disease ruin your love of life.
This book is an invaluable one. This shows you that even though something is trying to deter you from living a happier life, you can not give up. It's a rare book full of light, and emotional.
Our Stars' Fault is something that would appeal to everyone because it twists the cords of your heart and lets you giggle. Perhaps most importantly, it lets you think about how precious love is, how brief a life can be and how the best way to improve your life is only one person.
