Elements of chemical engineering
Author(s): Walter Lucius Badger, Warren Lee McCabe
Publisher: McGraw-Hill, Year: 1936
Description:
.
One of the first genuinely devoted books to chemical engineering as a proper and unique area. It is obviously dated (a little over 80 years old), yet the fundamental conceptual portions remain true and are very well explained. I was a little small since a large portion of the text is dedicated to meticulous attention to specifics rather than using clear examples to display applications. As such, much of the text as an introductory text is useless, not because it is 8 decades old but because it contains material that is likely to rapidly become useless. Had it based, as indicated by the title, on essential elements and principles, almost all of this would still be applicable today?
